Nodus Status (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is a macOS utility app that provides real-time monitoring of your network connection. We are committed to respecting and protecting your privacy.

2. What Nodus Status Does

Nodus Status operates entirely on your device and provides diagnostics including:

• Ethernet cable detection
• Internal (private) IP address
• Public IP address (via ipify.org)
• Internet connectivity status (DNS and gateway checks)
• System notifications for status changes

3. What Data We Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal or usage data. All diagnostics are executed locally on your Mac. The only external call made is to https://api.ipify.org to retrieve your public IP address.

4. How Your Data Is Used

- Local IPs and diagnostics are processed using Apple’s native APIs.
- Public IP detection is used solely for connectivity verification and never logged.
- No data is ever sent to us or any analytics service.

5. Third-Party Services

We use ipify.org to fetch your public IP address. You may review their Privacy Policy for more information.

6. Your Consent

By using Nodus Status, you consent to this privacy policy. If you do not agree with it, please discontinue use of the app.
